Fernie Vacations Privacy Policy.

Fernie Vacation Properties adopted the following Privacy Policy out of a respect and a commitment to fully protecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy informs you how your personal information will be processed, stored and used. We promise we will take steps to use any personal information only in a manner compatible with this Privacy Policy. The following policies remain in effect only for the Web pages, newsletters, and lists and opt-in announcement lists owned and operated by Fernie Vacation Properties (hereafter "FVP") and its owned subsidiaries.

What information do you collect and how do you collect it?
Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers serving as the computer's "Internet Protocol", or IP address. When a visiting computer requests any Web site page within the FVP Network, our Web servers automatically recognize that visitor's domain name and IP address. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal other than the IP address from which you accessed our site. We compile this information in aggregate to analyze visiting traffic patterns. We do not collect and evaluate this information for specific individuals. Our Web servers do not automatically record email addresses of the visitors. In the case of misuse of the FVP Network, IP address may be shared in cooperation with law enforcement. See also "Will you disclose the information you collect to outside third parties?"

What are cookies?
From time to time, FVP or its advertisers will send a "cookie" to your computer. A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a Web server to your Internet browser to be stored on your computer's hard drive. A cookie can't read data off a computer hard disk or read cookie files created by other Web sites. Cookies are inert data packets facilitating web site accessibility and do not damage your system. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies, or allow your browser to inform you when a cookie is being sent. If you choose not to accept cookies, your experience at our site (and other websites) may be diminished since integral design features will not work as intended.

What information do you collect when I register for something?
FVP offers access to services requiring registration. We may use your registration information to send timely notification of FVP products and services by email and/or postal mail. See below, "Will you disclose the information you collect to outside third parties?"

What other information do you request?
We may request your email address to conduct a follow-up survey or to provide additional services (for example, subscriptions to email newsletters, announcement lists or information about new property development.) FVP maintains a strict "No-Spam" policy. FVP will not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your email address to a third-party, without your consent or as permitted within this Privacy Policy. Except as stated above, FVP will not send you email that you have not agreed to receive. Will you disclose the information you collect to outside third parties? FVP will disclose personal information and/or an IP address, when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: Cooperate with investigations of purported unlawful activities and conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on FVP. Protect and defend the rights or property of the FVP Network of sites and related properties, or visitors to the FVP Network of sites and related properties. FVP uses reasonable precautions to keep the information disclosed secure. FVP reserves the right to transfer all such information in connection with the sale of all or part of FVP's capital stock or assets. Furthermore, we are not responsible for any breach of security or for any actions of any third parties that receive the information. See below "What else should I know about my privacy when online?" See "What information do you collect when I register for something?"

What else should I know about my privacy when online?

Ultimately, you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your personal information. Be careful and responsible whenever you're online. Your Consent to This Agreement By using the FVP Network, you consent to the collection and use of information by FVP as specified above. We reserve the right to modify this policy. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
